Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Lane Closure Technician to assist in managing the flow of traffic around construction sites and other traffic-sensitive areas. This role requires individuals who are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to maintain clear communication with both drivers and the work crew.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage the safe flow of traffic at various work zones and construction sites
• Set up and dismantle traffic control signs, barriers, and cones as directed
• Ensure proper signage is displayed and maintained to direct vehicles and pedestrians safely
• Communicate effectively with other crew members and motorists
• Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control methods as necessary
• Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols
• Provide clear instructions to drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists to ensure safety
• Report any hazards, incidents, or accidents to the supervisor
• Keep records of traffic control setups and activities

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BCCSA TCP certification
• Previous experience in traffic control, construction, or related fields is a plus (training provided)
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge of traffic control devices and safety practices is a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
• A valid driver’s license is preferred
